American Eagle Pilots Talk About “The Spin”

American Eagle’s division of The Air Line Pilots Association has sent out an update from the union’s most recent meeting with American Eagle president and CEO Dan Garton. The meeting focused on the potential spinoff of American Eagle by AMR Corporation. AMR is the holding company which owns American Eagle as well as American Airlines.

US Airline Traffic Rises in June

US Airline companies have reported their June 2010 traffic
results. Airlines traffic, measured in billions of revenue passenger miles,
increased from an improvement in the global economy, improved business travel,
international traffic and rising fares. Airlines are increasing their capacity
in order to restore profitability and posted higher unit revenue growth for the
month of June.
