Trans States Airlines Sweetens Offer for First Officers

As recently as 2008 pilots entering the airline industry with a regional airline could expect to earn $25,000 in the first year. Ten years later, first year pay has increased exponentially and keeps increasing as the pilot shortage forces airlines to compete with each other for new airline pilots entering the industry. GoJet Airlines and Their Pilots Reach Tentative Agreement

ATP’s Tuition Reimbursement Program partner GoJet Airlines announced today that they have reached a tentative agreement with their pilots on a five-year contract. The new tentative agreement contains improvements in work rules, benefits and pay which brings new First Officer pay to over $38 per hour / $40,000 per year, which is becoming the new standard in the regional airline industry. Once the agreement is ratified it will benefit the pilots that ATP will be sending to GoJet through the Tuition Reimbursement Program. Continue reading
