Founded on a mesa in New Mexico in 1982 and headquartered in Phoenix since 1998, Mesa Airlines provides regional air service for American Airlines under the American Eagle and US Airways Express brands and for United Airlines under the United Express banner. Mesa operates 100+ aircraft with more than 500 daily system departures to 92 cities, 37 states, the District of Columbia, Canada and Mexico. The company's agreements with its partners are among the longest in the regional industry and extend to 2025 (American/US Airways) and 2020 (United).

Mesa Airlines has teamed with ATP to offer the ATP/Mesa Tuition Assistance Program (TAP), which is the first time in the history that an airline has reached out to help defray the cost of flight training for new pilots entering the airline industry. Mesa will take pilots into the TAP once they reach 500 hours of flight time, and contribute directly toward their flight training while they are still instructing for ATP and building quality flight time toward the ATP Minimums required to be hired by any airline. The payments then continue after the plot has reached minimum requirements and begins to fly for Mesa.

Mesa Airlines currently operates its fleet consisting of twenty CRJ 700s, fifty-seven CRJ 900s and twenty ERJ 175s as American Eagle for American Airlines and United Express for United Airlines.

Mesa is also scheduled to take delivery of seven additional CRJ 900s and ten additional ERJ 175s in 2015 to operate on behalf of their legacy airline partners.

Mesas pilots fly out of three crew bases located in Phoenix, Houston and Washington, DC. They enjoy full health and dental benefits as well as travel benefits that can be shared with their families.

Mesa will be filling monthly new-hire classes for the balance of 2016.
