ATP’s recruiting partner Compass Airlines has joined ATP’s Tuition Reimbursement Program as a sponsoring airline. The Tuition Reimbursement Program provides up to $11,000 be paid toward an ATP graduate’s and flight instructor’s flight training costs by Compass Airlines. The ATP graduate then agrees to fly for Compass when the pilot reaches 1500 hours of flight experience. Continue reading
Mesa Airlines, which was first to partner with ATP in the Tuition Reimbursement Program, announced that United Airlines has agreed to add 15 additional Embraer 175 aircraft to Mesa’s fleet flown for United Airlines as United Express. The fleet additions mean that over 150 additional First Officers will be hired, and over 75 current First Officers will upgrade to Captains to operate these new planes. Continue reading
Pilots who have been trained by ATP are everywhere in the world of aviation, but they are most popular in the airline industry. Chris Patrick is a good example of an ATP Graduate set on a successful career track by making sure that he received the best flight training available. Chris has gone on to upgrade to Captain with his first airline, Air Wisconsin, and there is no doubt that he will achieve his career goals in short order. Mesa Airlines is scheduled to fly a new Embraer E175 and a new CRJ900 aircraft to Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport for an open house at ATP’s Flight Training Center. The Open House and fly-in will take place on May 21 from 10:00am to 2:00pm and a big turnout is expected to tour ATP’s flight training facilities as well as Mesa’s new aircraft.
Republic Airways Holdings, owner and operator of Republic Airlines and Shuttle America, reported first-quarter net income of $6.4 million. The parent company reported that Republic and Shuttle America posted revenue of $341 million in the period.
