SkyWest Airlines has joined with ATP to offer the Tuition Reimbursement Program to ATP students and Instructors. SkyWest will reimburse ATP pilots up to $11,000 for flight training costs while at ATP and assistance will continue after the pilots leave ATP to begin flying for SkyWest.
The partnership between SkyWest and ATP demonstrates a firm commitment to professional pilot development and the airline’s investment in the next generation of airline pilots. It is a boost to SkyWest’s recruiting efforts in the current pilot shortage also as airlines are competing for the services of the well-trained pilots coming from ATP’s Airline Career Pilot Program.
“SkyWest is highly sought-after by ATP graduates, and this program will further increase recruitment from ATP’s pilot pool”, said Justin Dennis, Vice President, ATP. “We appreciate SkyWest’s participation in the Tuition Reimbursement Program and their investment in a meaningful solution to the industry’s pilot shortage.”
ATP graduates are meeting and exceeding their career objectives and positioning themselves for multi-million dollar careers flying for the major airlines and programs at ATP such as the Tuition Reimbursement Program are helping them succeed. These pilots will arrive for new-hire training at these airlines ahead of their competition, and enjoy all the benefits of greater seniority, because they chose to train with the school that has a thirty year record of setting pilots on the path to success: ATP.
