Alaska has hired 45 new pilots in 2013 but that was not the most pilots hired this year by an airline in the US. United Airlines has hired the most pilots in 2013 by hiring 248 pilots steadily throughout the year. US Airways is next with 187 Pilots hired so far this year. Jetblue hired throughout the year and added 155 pilots hired year to date. FedEx hired the fewest pilots hired by an airline which was hiring by adding 14 pilots to their seniority list.
American Airlines and Delta Airlines have announced that they are going to hire 750 pilots per year between them for the next ten years and Southwest Airlines has promised to hire new pilots in 2014 also.
