SkyWest and ExpressJet Traffic Climbs

SkyWest, Inc., reported that passenger traffic flying on its two subsidiaries, SkyWest Airlines and ExpressJet Airlines, in September increased 5.3 percent compared to figures from September of 2011. SkyWest boarded 4,831,914 passengers in September compared to 4,586,941 for the same period last year.

SkyWest also reported a 1.0 percent increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for September, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 0.6 percent compared to September 2011. SkyWest’s Load factor increased to 80.2 compared to 79.9 in September 2011.

Both SkyWest Airlines and ExpressJet Airlines have been actively hiring pilots throughout 2011 and have announced that they will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
