American Eagle Taps into the ATP Flight Training Pipeline with PilotPool.com

American Eagle Airlines recently used ATP’s pilot recruitment tool, PilotPool.com, to reach out to hundreds of pilots to notify them of newly reduced hiring minimums to 500 TT / 50 ME / ATP RJ Program. American Eagle also announced that pilots hired at 500 TT / 50 ME will be sent to ATP’s 7-Day Regional Jet Standards Certification Program at American Eagle’s expense. ATP Alumni Network Jobs

I have written a number of times on PilotJobs about the importance of networking as it pertains to aviators who wish to fly professionally in the airline industry. I have practiced networking throughout my own career and it has paid off time and time again. I have also had the chance to watch the most functional network in aviation at work and that is the network of ATP Alumni who have come to ATP for flight training or to instruct and have benefitted from the network connections made at ATP throughout their careers.

Air Travel Rebounds in April according to IATA

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced traffic results for April which showed a rebound in international markets with 16.5% growth compared to April 2010. While this is exaggerated by the comparison to April 2010 during which European airspace was closed due to the volcanic ash crisis, international travel markets in April had grown to reach a level 7% higher than the pre-recession peak of early 2008.
